HDP DFU Dynamic Folding Unit

The HDP DFU Dynamic Folding Unit is designed for real-time, automated folding in high-efficiency Book-of-One production. It supports seamless 4-page dynamic jumps, such as switching from 8-page to 12-page signatures, without stopping production, enabling flexible processing of variable page counts within a continuous workflow. Integrated with VDP barcode recognition, the HDP DFU automatically adjusts folding paths according to each job, allowing higher-page-count folding configurations to be used whenever possible for improved production efficiency. When paired with the HDP CS Cutter, the unit combines buckle folding and knife folding to dynamically perform half folds or letter folds according to changing production requirements. The HDP DFU can deliver sorted signatures to conventional binding equipment or integrate directly with digital finishing lines for fully automated, continuous production of varying-thickness products. By combining dynamic page-count adjustment, barcode-driven automation, hybrid folding technology, and flexible inline integration, it provides an efficient folding solution for digital Book-of-One and variable-production workflows.
