The HDP5000PB12 Digital Perfect Binding Machine is a high-speed 12-clamp perfect binder designed for short-run and on-demand production of books, notepads, NCR forms, and similar products, with a maximum mechanical speed of up to 5,000 books per hour. It can operate as a standalone perfect binding machine or be integrated inline with digital printing and finishing systems. Microprocessor control, servo-driven adjustments, and one-touch job changeover coordinate the main binding processes and help minimize manual setup between different production jobs. Book blocks are loaded from outside the machine for convenient operation and easier maintenance, while an automatic thickness-measurement system detects each book block and adjusts the relevant processing units according to the measured thickness. A vertical automatic cover feeder provides continuous cover feeding, with laterally adjustable guide rails ensuring accurate cover alignment. The spine preparation section combines notching and fine milling to expose the paper fibres and control adhesive penetration for reliable bonding. An independently servo-driven gluing system uses a spine-side-spine roller configuration to precisely regulate adhesive application on both the book spine and sides, while the pneumatic glue cut-off length can be adjusted during production without interrupting the workflow. A dual-cam nipping platform consolidates the cover and forms a flat, straight book spine, while the automatic lowering and delivery mechanism smoothly releases finished books from the clamps to help reduce spine deformation.
